As Program Manager for English Language Programs, I work with a team of instructors to meet the language development needs of our students and scholars. In individual meetings and in classes, I meet students who are seeking to develop their English language proficiency for personal and professional success.
I began teaching English as a Second language in 2002 and earned an MA in TESOL from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. My teaching experience includes work at both the university and community college level assisting graduate and undergraduate students in the improvement of their receptive and productive language skills. In addition to teaching, I spent many years working in ESL curriculum development, teacher training and program management for the City Colleges of Chicago.
At Washington University, I have the opportunity to assist students in improving their general English skills as well as field-specific English language knowledge. I work particularly with students in pronunciation development, presentation delivery and conversation skills. I look forward to having you in class and assisting you with your English language acquisition in any way.
