I hold a Master of Arts (specializing in fiction) from the Creative Writing Program at Boston University and completed my undergraduate study at Princeton University, where I majored in chemical engineering (with a focus on environmental studies). I’ve held fellowships from Emory University, the Howard Foundation (from Brown University), and the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis.
I began teaching writing at Washington University in Fall 2019, and prior to that, I taught at Saint Louis University for about ten years. In my classes for ELP and University College, I plan activities that emphasize the interdependent, iterative nature of reading and writing and that explore how one practice feeds the other. I look forward to delving deeply into your academic writing with you.
